A seed phrase is a collection of words that can be used to give access to your cryptocurrency wallet. Mnemonic seeds or phrases can also be used to describe the same idea, because they are memory related. Words are so much easier to remember than a enormous sequence of numbers or random characters.

Seed phrases are not cryptocurrency-specific. They can be used across hundreds gateways, so that one seed can actually be used to recover access to any digital environment and prove your ownership or identity.
